Junior Trials Announcement
Noranda Emerald Football Club is excited to announce our MiniRoos and Junior Trials and Grading! đź’šâš˝
Following the club’s successful 2025 amalgamation and an exciting 2026 season, we’re proud to offer both our current junior players and new players looking to join the club a clear pathway to continue their football journey through to senior football at a competitive level.
Our junior program will cater for players across MiniRoos, Junior Development League (JDL) and Junior Community League (JCL), providing opportunities for players to develop their skills and progress through the levels of football that best suit their ability, ambition and development.

Why do we hold trials?
Trials are held to help ensure that each player is placed in an environment and team that is appropriate for their current level of development, allowing them to get the most out of their season and continue to enjoy their football.
Player placement is an assessment at a point in time, not a permanent classification. Every child develops differently, and players can progress at different rates and stages throughout their football journey. A player’s placement this season does not determine where they will play in future years.
Our aim is to create teams where players can be appropriately challenged, supported and given the best opportunity to develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.
We also encourage all parents and guardians to support the club’s decisions positively with their child. Regardless of the team or level a player is placed in, we ask that the decision is presented as a positive opportunity for their development and enjoyment. A positive mindset and supportive environment can make a significant difference to a young player’s experience.
We’re proud to have accredited junior coaches supporting our players at every stage of their development. Our junior and senior coaching staff will also work closely together, ensuring a strong connection between the junior and senior programs and providing a clear, consistent pathway for players aspiring to progress into senior football.
Our senior players will also endeavour to assist at junior training sessions, sharing their experience, knowledge and passion for the game while providing our younger players with positive role models and an opportunity to learn from players who have progressed through the football pathway themselves.
For players looking to take their football to the next level, our advanced player pathways will provide opportunities to challenge themselves in higher-level environments, with a focus on technical development, game understanding, confidence and preparation for senior football.
Whether you’re already part of the Noranda Emerald family or looking for a new club to call home, we welcome you to be part of this exciting next chapter.
Our junior program is focused on developing players, building confidence, creating friendships and, most importantly, fostering a lifelong love of football in a positive and supportive club environment.
From MiniRoos through JDL and JCL, and ultimately into senior football — the pathway starts here.
Trial dates and times for November will be announced shortly. All existing and new players must fill out the EOI form below.
